Clinical Use & Safety Disclaimer

This Clinical Use & Safety Disclaimer forms part of your Agreement with OUI Technologies (SMC-Private) Limited ("OUI"). It is important — please read it carefully. By accepting, you acknowledge and agree to each of the following.

1. What the Service is

The Service — every OUI product, including cloud, batch (e.g. RadTranscribe), and offline/locally-installed applications — is a documentation and transcription aid that converts your dictation into text and helps format reports. It exists to support your workflow, not to replace your professional judgment.

2. What the Service is NOT

The Service is not a medical device, is not intended for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or monitoring of disease, and does not provide clinical decision support, clinical advice, or recommendations. It does not interpret images or studies. OUI makes no representation that the Service meets any medical-device regulatory standard (including any requirement of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan).

3. Mandatory human review

You must independently read, review, and verify every Output for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before it is used for any clinical purpose, entered into a patient record, or relied upon in any decision. You are the responsible professional for the final report.

4. Limitations of AI transcription

Automated speech recognition and language models can and do make mistakes. Output may contain errors, omissions, mis-transcriptions, incorrect figures or laterality, mis-applied templates, or fabricated ("hallucinated") content, and may misinterpret accents, terminology, or audio quality. Do not assume Output is correct because it appears fluent.

5. Professional responsibility

Your use of the Service does not diminish your professional, ethical, and legal duties. All clinical decisions, and the accuracy of any report you finalise, remain solely your responsibility and/or your Institution's. No doctor–patient or clinical relationship is formed with OUI, and OUI provides no clinical advice.

6. No warranty; allocation of risk

Consistent with the Terms of Service, Output is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or fitness for any clinical purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OUI is not liable for clinical decisions made or actions taken based on Output, or for any failure by you to review and verify it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

7. Not for emergencies as a sole tool

Do not rely on the Service as the sole means of producing time-critical or emergency clinical documentation; have appropriate fallback processes.

8. Acknowledgement

By accepting, you confirm that you understand the Service is an aid only, that you will verify all Output before clinical use, and that you remain responsible for your reports and clinical decisions.
